The Best Flexible Seating Ideas on Amazon for Your Classroom!

Flexible seating is all the rage right now and with good reason! People are realizing that students often work better with choice. When I think of myself, I don't want someone telling me where to sit and who I have to sit beside. In staff meetings, I generally sit with people I'm closer with or spend the most time with at school. At conferences I like to sit in the back so I can zip out first and avoid the rush of people leaving. At home, I work from the comfort of my couch with my laptop resting on the arm of my couch. It's cozy and I get my best work done there. Giving options allows students to take responsibility for their learning as well.

If you're reading this post, chances are you already know about flexible seating and you're just here for the deals! So I'll get to the point....

I've scoured Amazon for the best deals on the coolest flexible seating options and here is what I've found.

1. This is a Gaiam ball chair. Perfect for those kids who respond well to regular movement:

2. These inflatable chairs look amazing! I want to get 3 of them for my classroom.

3. I have one of these in my classroom in a dark blue color, it's a Rocker Chair. The one that I have was purchased by a parent and was WAY pricier than  these ones on Amazon. I would definitely go the Amazon route for these!

4. These are Soft Seats and they're great for when a group is working on the carpet or for individual students to use during reading time. Many students like to sit on a regular chair but with one of these underneath them.
5. This is a Wobble Chair. This is the cheapest that I have been able to find but still pricey for what you get. Students do love these though!
6. This is a Lap Tray and I LOVE these! They make working around the room a breeze and I find kids actually work a little more independently when using these for whatever reason! This was the cheapest one I found on Amazon BUT last summer I scored some at my local craft store for $5 a piece. I grabbed 5 of them.

7. I had a Reading Pillow like this when I was a kid and loved it! I had been looking for a few for my classroom and was so happy to come across these.

8. Another simple addition for flexible seating is simply using floor pillows. I really like these Indian Mandala Floor Pillows cover. They can lean them up against the wall or sit on them while their working. I buy cheap pillows and stuff them inside of funky pillow covers.
