No Name? I have the answer! Monday Made It!
I'm linking up AGAIN this week with 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made It. I really love this linky!
I don't know what's up with me but I have been a crafting machine lately! I'm not usually a big crafter but pinterest has really inspired me to start trying new things.
One of the things I have seen a lot of lately are these "No Name" boards to hang up the work from kids who forgot to add their name to their work. I loved this idea so much I decided to make my own. So, I packed up my kids and off to Michael's we went. I needed to walk around the store to be inspired because I wasn't quite sure how I wanted it to look and what I was going to use to make it.
I did a couple coats of mod podge and let it dry. Then I added some clothes pins that I also mod podged with scrapbook paper.
Now, I ran into a little problem. I bought the letters after everything else and I just eyeballed the size I would need....
Here is the final product:
My next made it is not a crafty one per se but it does have to do with crafting!
My daughter has a ton of crafting supplies that she rarely got to use because every time we would bring it out my 1.5 year old Mischief Maker (that's his nick name, for real) would always try to grab the glue and glitter and various other crafting things and either throw them or try to eat them. So I basically put crafting on hold for her aside from when he was napping. I decided this was no good and that she needed a "Mischief Maker Free Zone" all to herself.
We had a corner in our basement that wasn't being used and I decided it would be perfect for her. I remembered about an old folding table I had in the garage and various other supplies that were laying around the house not being used. This is what I came up with at 10:30 at night:
My next "Monday Made It" is a yummy one! It's a caramel apple dip that I made today to take to our block party. I got the recipe from a blog called Janet is Hungry. Click on that link to take you to the recipe.
When it's all mixed together spread it in a thick layer on a plate and then cover with caramel sauce:
I'm going to end this post again with a link to my Daily Math Word Problems Bundle because I think it will be great for people to have to start the year off with. It includes 80 word problems that can be used as morning work, homework, seat work etc. The topics covered are one digit addition and subtraction, two digit addition and subtraction, elapsed time and adding and subtracting money to $1.00.
